The Big House Big Heart event will move from it’s traditional date in October to April 15th. This event will be in conjunction with the Spring Football Game to be played the previous day at The Big House (University of Michigan Stadium). The race is sponsored by the Champions for Charity. The funds raised by the event are used by several area non-profits including ALS research at the University of Michigan and the UM Cardiovascular Center at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Women’s Hospital.
The Lamp Post Inn is 1 1/2 miles from the stadium and will offer special overnight rates to those attending either the spring football game of the Big House Big Heart event. In order to obtain the special hotel rates go to The Lamp Post Inn website and use the promo code SPRINGGAME.

The race starts and finishes at the University of Michigan’s famous football stadium–The Big House. It is the largest stadium in the country seating over 107,000 spectators. This chip-timed 5K starts in the parking lot east of The Big House and the run takes you through the University of Michigan’s beautiful campus with a spectacular finish–a run through the Big House tunnel and onto the field. You’ll finish on the 50 yard line and watch yourself on the Big House Big Screen!
